• Who is the (BANTU) Mystic Family Circus? — and our Mission
Mystic Family Circus (MFC) is a non-profit multi-cultural collective of over 400 performers, artists, visionaries, and educators. Our mission is to activate a conscious, peaceful, and sustainable culture through performing arts, community building, creative expression, and education. Mystic Family Circus offers educational programs, event production services and unique entertainment packages including interactive parades, wandering characters, circus acts, theatrical dance performances, and fun eco kid villages.
Founded in 1999, MFC has worked with over 40 organizations including Cirque du Soleil, Burning Man, Bioneers, Earthdance, Yerba Buena Theater Festival, Green Festival, and many others.
• Our Goals
1) To develop programs such as MFC's new arm Chrysalis, dedicated to creating positive alternatives in our education system by teaching Ecoliteracy and Self-empowerment to children thru performance art study and play. So far, this program has worked with autistic and grade school children. We have also participated in Kidlandia- a special play and learn spot designated for children at large festivals focusing on Environmental Art, sustainability, Environmental Education and Social Awareness.
2) To continue to offer our creative services to honorable festivals like the Bioneers conference and The Green Festival (both dedicated to advancing environmental consciousness and education), Health and Harmony (dedicated to health and healing), Earthdance (a globally connecting dance event for peace) and other art/music supportive festivals.
3) To continue to help talented emerging artists and musicians to self-sustainability through our talent agency and network of talent agents. We've also provided avenues for skilled artists to share and teach their skills to community- adult and children alike.
4) To support worthy projects promoting and developing new eco-products such as alternative fuels, earth-friendy paper, bamboo technology and many others.
5) To participate in building sustainable communities globally that help preserve Eco-diversity and promote larger cultural understanding and exchange.
6) To continue to hold life-enriching events that promote health (yoga/taichi/dance/live, organic, locally grown foods), inspiration (performance & music), unity (community and audience participation) and health education.
7) To raise cultural awareness and consciousness on important issues about social justice. Participating in fundraising benefits that support indigenous tribes and marginalized peoples. Our namesake and philosophy of B.A.N.T.U. stands for the Better Alliance of Nations Through Unity.
8) To continue to love, accept and welcome colorful differences and individuality in all beings and provide an outlet for freedom and creative self-expression.

MYSTIC FAMILY CIRCUS produces its own events and educational workshops and can also be made available for your event, workshop, festival, school, or retreat in any form you desire. We can be as small as one and as large as 400. Our offerings cover of four main categories:
