Paradox Pollack

Paradox has taught children for the past 20 years. He has been a performer for children for 15 years and finds that they are the best audiences and collaborators. The Most honest and the most fun.

        Having created circus with children, hour long plays with over 150 children and worked in the Major urban centers of San Francisco, Philadelphia, New York and Paris with children 3 to 18 years old, he decided it was time to create a curricullum for the three ring circus of the Chrysalis.      

He worked with Big Mess Theatre in Philadelphia for 6 years producing 3 feature length shows with origional scripts, full orchestration and elaborate sets and costumes. Bringing an extremely physical style from this work ("cartoon-like" ) he decided to refine his technique with dance, studying German expressionistic dance with Group Motion, Butoh with Masaki Iwana and Contact Improvisation  with Steve Kreikhaus. Inspired by a San Francisco company called Contraband decided to move to the San francisco in 1992.    

  I had always loved the Circus and Auditioned for Barnum and Bailey when I was 17 years old, for whatever reason"thank God" I was not taken into that particular corporate fold but nonetheless continued my Circus Dreaming.    

San Francisco seemed the perfect home for Circus and after working with a number of theatre companies and dance companies including spots with Margaret Jenkins, Contraband and the Theatre company Ego-Po Founded a Circus company called Dream Cirus with 10 other performers and performed at festivals and in theatres for the next four years including a West Coast tour of 3 states and  BC Canada.       

For the past 5 years the Mystic family has been his creative home where he curates weekly classes and works to create a Hub of Unification which brings organizations and inviduals together  to build creative responses to the many crises presently on the earth. To inspire social, envionmental, and cultural transformation linking all the work, towards a more loving healthy and creative world.
