Intentions: To offer the Sacred Love Womb Garden & Mystic Family Circus as an
interactive, participatory, performance-oriented healing arts theme camp at
Burning Man.
This proposal is an attempt to encapsulate in some small way the hugeness
and dynamics of this living, breathing and growing thing called the Mystic Family
Circus. The BANTU Mystic Family Circus is a nomadic magic healing art circus
whose intent is to travel the globe, to sacred and troubled lands, to hold
activation events and plant peace poles in its wake. The circus is based on the
African Bantu's story of a new tribe-of-all-cultures stepping up to the front lines
as a family of Peace Warriors. The circus unites in love, healing and creativity,
breaking barriers while healing the earth and human spirit. The acronym
BANTU also stands for Better Alliance of Nations Through Unity.
This intention was first relayed in a handout at Burning Man 1999 where we
gathered over 200 recruits for our first circus event in SF in October of 1999 with
over 1,000 people in attendance. The main producers behind the circus also
throw the Yoga Tai Chi parties and Circus events in San Francisco. The Yoga
Tai Chi events have been happening in the Bay Area, on the beach and at Cell
Space, since 1999. The Yoga Tai Chi events combine healing arts with dance
culture. The Mystic Family Circus events merge elements of Yoga Tai Chi
parties with circus spectacles and ritual theatre performances that artistically
interpret millennial myths, tell the tale of the times, and offer a savory taste of
truth with a sweet recipe of hope.

Our Theme Camp has two main layers: (1) Mystic Family Circus [the interactive
performance venue at 9 o'clock] and (2) The Sacred Love Womb Garden [the
camp's interior circus/healing arts pueblo.] The intent is for the two layers to
complement eachother energetically and physically, like a binary star. The
cloistered and tender healing area has a belly full of brash circus monkey
business. Meanwhile, the super circus freak playground has a burning heart of
healing.
Many blessings and thanks....Awooooo!!!
