WHO WE ARE:
We are a convergence of grassroots collectives of artists, activists, musicians, magicians, jesters, visual wizards, earth tenders, all united as Peace warriors. We show the possibility of diverse people coming together, communicating, and working together to heal fractured communities and the ailing environment.
OUR REAL SPECIALITY
The Mystic Family Circus is about building community. We specialize in inclusive spectacle ritual. We come from a tradition and environment in San Francisco (and other friendly locations) that places liberation and love at the forefront of the performance. More than just sideshows/spectacles, through our wandering characters, healing arts and parading techniques, we plant seeds of magic and awe in the crowds allowing them to activate. OUR EVENTS
We throw our own events and can be made available for yours. We offer a fantastical line-up of well known DJs, bands, and performers along with yoga and taichi, puppet supper theater - a vegetarian love feast, roaming characters, circus acts, spoken word, puppetry, spectacles, activist speakers, and at its heart, a potent ritual/theatre performance. We artistically interpret the millennial myth, tell the tale of the times, and offer a savory taste of truth with a sweet recipe of hope. All who attend will merge with an immediate and essential experience, and take this inspiration into their own lives to create change as their passions lead them.
• WORLD PEACE MOVEMENT:
We join the ever growing World Peace movement which unites the circus with many other collectives. As highly activated cultural cocreator, this nomadic massive 'tribe' will gather through the lands, planting seeds of inspiration, hope, action and natural harmony. One of our first stops will be Israel, where we will join the Diamond Jubilee Tour, headed up by Perry Ferrule, to help spread the message of Jubilee and the cancellation of the third world debt, which Perry and several other musicians have helped reduce by 70 billion dollars. We will then continue to organize in diverse communities around the globe. We also wish to kickstart a Slavery Abolitionist Fund for those fighting slavery in Sudan and express support for the U'wa Indigenous peoples fighting against Oil drilling on their native land
